Formula One is in a very bad place right now, with more and more fans turning the back on the sport and, as long as Mercedes continue to dominate in the sport, the fans are going to continue to find it boring and decide not to watch. There has been a lot of talk about Ferrari closing the gap to Mercedes this season but, apart from the false information on a Friday testing session, it has yet to really happen in the race.

Mercedes are dominating the sport
Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene has been speaking about the gap to Mercedes, when he explained, "The explanation is simple. Mercedes always runs with more fuel on Fridays. I have told our engineers to now do the same, because only that way will we really know where we stand."
He added, "We have already started work on the 2016 car but at the same time we need to intensify the work on the current car. We set ourselves the goal of winning three races this year and I see no reason to change. We do not want to catch Mercedes in 2020 but as soon as possible, hopefully by the end of 2015."

Will Ferrari ever close the gap?
It seems that there is always one team running away with things these days and, while it is now Mercedes, a few years back it was Red Bull and we are sure that the power will shift again in the future. It seems like the days are gone where two or more teams are battling at the front and, if something does not change soon, then the sport will be in serious trouble.
Do you think Ferrari can close the gap to Mercedes?
