We have seen a huge amount of impressive and successful television shows over the years and, on a number of occasions, these successful shows then go on to bring us a new spinoff series, taking some of our favourite characters in a new direction. While some of these spinoff shows have flopped, others have gone on to become a successful series in its own right.
The hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones has become one of the biggest and best television shows around, so it is no surprise that we have been hearing a number of rumours about a possible Game of Thrones spinoff series. While nothing has yet been confirmed, it is still fun to talk about, but which star will see their character getting their own spinoff show?
One of the most popular stars in Game of Thrones would have to be the British actress Emilia Clarke, who plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the series. While Emilia is now a strong women of power, she started out the series as a weak woman who was easily ruled, which some fans would like to see delved into a bit deeper, with the history of the Targaryen family being looked at.
One of the biggest shocks of the entire series of Game of Thrones, was when we saw Sean Bean's character Ned Stark being killed off, much to the disappointment of fans around the world. Ned Stark lived a very adventurous life, with plenty of battles, and it would definitely be interesting to see more of the younger years of the character on his adventures.
While most people are keen on seeing an origin story of a character as a Game of Thrones spinoff, some would not mind seeing a character move away from the series and get their own show set in the same time frame. Maisie Williams has become a very popular character and fans want to see more of Arya Stark, so maybe her own series could be the way to go?
