Hollywood beauty Zoe Saldana has been working in the acting industry for many years now, so she has had the experience of working with a whole variety of different directors along the way, some better than others. Zoe stars in the new movie Live By Night, which has been directed by Ben Affleck, and the actress has admitted that she really enjoyed working on the project, which has a lot to do with the attitude of her director.
Saldana explained, "I know what it's like to work with a director that doesn't care for actors, and you feel pretty bad when you're leaving work, I get to look at 'Live By Night' and this is the happiest, after 'Avatar', that I've been with my performance because I felt safe and I felt supported by my director."
She added, "I come from doing so many kick-ass movies, so to play a female that was very mature and very accepting with her feelings and being very unconditional with the person that she's in love with, it's something that I had not played before so it was a challenge for me."
As well as starring Zoe Saldana, the rest of the cast of Live By Night includes such Hollywood stars as Elle Fanning, Sienna Miller, Chris Sullivan, and Brendan Gleeson, among others. Meanwhile, as well as directing the movie, Ben Affleck also has a lead role in the project, as well as adapting the screenplay for the project, based on the Dennis Lehane novel. Live By Night is set to hit the big screen on January 13 in both the US and the UK.
