There was once a time when Hollywood beauty Cameron Diaz was one of the most sought after actresses in the business, landing plenty of interesting and exciting roles in some big movie projects. There is no denying that Cameron is still a very popular actress and could easily still demand some of the top roles around but we have not seen her in a movie for quite some time.
Well, Cameron Diaz recently went to lunch with her friend Selma Blair, who she starred alongside in the 2002 movie The Sweetest Thing, and Selma has been talking about the future of Cameron in Hollywood. The actress says that Diaz has decided to retire from Hollywood and has no plans to return to the acting industry any time soon.
Blair explained, "I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about the film. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting. She's like 'I'm done.' I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films. She has a pretty great life, I don't know what it would take to bring her back. She's happy."
It really would be a huge shame if we were never to see Cameron Diaz appearing on the big screen ever again, as she has given us some of the most enjoyable performances over the years. We love you, Cameron and we hope that you do manage to have a change of heart at some point in the future and make a return to Hollywood.
