Following the huge success of the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones, we have seen a number of new and talented stars coming through and making a name for themselves in Hollywood. One such star is the very talented and very handsome Kit Harington, who has impressed us with his performances as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.
After seeing Jon Snow being killed in the Game of Thrones season 5 finale, there were many rumours about the future of the character with Kit Harington doing his best not to give the secrets away. In season 6 we saw Jon Snow being brought back to life and now, Kit has been talking about the future of his character on the show.
Harington was chatting to The Wrap, when he explained, "Here's the thing: I feel like one of the safest people on 'Thrones' now. Maybe I shouldn't say that. He could die next season, but I felt very safe this season. Because if I come back to life in episode 2, it would be awful storytelling if you kill me in episode 4. So I felt a bit cocky this season."
As well as talking about his future on Game of Thrones, Kit Harington also spoke about actually landing the role of Jon Snow in the hit HBO series, admitting that it was not exactly the direction he thought his acting career would take. Instead, Kit says that he was actually expecting to have a career on the stage.
Harington added, "I wanted to be in the theatre. I'd done classical theatre training. I'd had absolutely no training in screen acting whatsoever, as you don't in British drama schools. So I envisioned maybe doing a stint at the RSC, or getting a job at the National, or one of those major theatres in London. That was the plan - just work and work and see if I can survive. But I didn't see this coming. I really didn't."
Game of Thrones season 7 will premiere on HBO in June 2017.
