With DC and Warner Bros. deciding to make their movie universe separate from their television universe, it makes for a number of different possibilities for their comic book characters and it is certainly very exciting. DC and Warner Bros. have already shown that they are not afraid to use different versions of the same character, with The Flash appearing in his own television series, as well as preparing to hit the big screen, as well as the Suicide Squad movie being made, while some of those characters have already appeared in Arrow.
So, with that in mind, which other characters can we expect to see appearing on both the big screen and the small screen? Well, we now know that we are going to see Aquaman making an appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before then going on to appear in his own solo film but could we see the character being adapted for the small screen if his big screen appearance proves successful?
Some of you may well remember the attempted Aquaman television series from The CW back in 2006, which starred Justin Hartley as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman. Well, that pilot was too bad really but it did not quite hit the mark. With a few tweaks and a new cast, an Aquaman television series could prove quite the hit and could also lead to future crossovers with Arrow, The Flash or even the upcoming Supergirl series.
With all that said though, do we think that an Aquaman television series will ever actually happen? As much as we would love to see it, we find it extremely doubtful, although we would not put it past The CW giving the character a cameo appearance in one of its other shows, if DC and Warner Bros. would allow it.
Would you like to see an Aquaman television series and which actor do you think would be ideal for the role?
