Following the release and the huge success of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, it did not take long for all the talk to turn to the next instalment of the franchise, with plenty of rumours and discussions surrounding Star Wars: Episode VIII. One of the biggest talking points has been which actors are going to join the cast for the latest Star Wars movies, with some interesting rumours emerging.
Before the release of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, there were plenty of rumours that we were going to see James Bond actor Daniel Craig playing a Stormtrooper in the movie and, despite his attempts to deny the claims, none of us were surprised when it turned out to be true. Which brings us to Star Wars: Episode VIII and the talk of the latest Hollywood star to play a Stormtrooper.
British actor Tom Hardy has become one of the biggest, best and most sought after actors in Hollywood and it has all but been confirmed that he will be involved in Star Wars: Episode VIII. Some of the more silly claims have suggested that Tom will play the role of Boba Fett, although it is much more likely that we are going to see him playing a Stormtrooper.
While some fans love the idea of Hollywood superstars popping up in disguise in the Star Wars movies, there are others who feel that it is a stupid gimmick by Disney that has no place in the Star Wars universe. However, we love Tom Hardy, we love Star Wars, and we cannot wait to see what his Stormtrooper will get to do in Star Wars: Episode VIII, but we are sure it will be great.
