British actor Tim Roth has worked on so many different movies, with a number of top directors, so it must feel strange for the actor to work with such an inexperienced director as Rufus Norris. Tim worked with Rufus on the movie Broken, which was the directors first movie, and Tim has spoken about making the movie with him.
Roth told Entertainment Weekly, "I never really worry about that. I've worked with a directors who've done a ton of movies who haven't been so good. Rufus works very, very well with actors."
He added, "He had an opinion of what he wanted to do with the film and how he wanted it to look and move and also about the characters. It was one of those very lucky situations where even if it was his first time, it didn't feel like that. He'd done a lot of opera and wasn't afraid to take cinematic and thematic leaps throughout the film."
Broken was released earlier this year and, as well as starring Tim Roth, the movie also Cillian Murphy, Lily James and Rory Kinnear. Meanwhile, Tim Roth can next be seen in the movie Grace of Monaco, with Nicole Kidman, Milo Ventimiglia and Parker Posey. The movie opens on November 27 in the US and January 10, 2014 in the UK.
