There has been a lot of talk about the difference in ways that Marvel and DC are going about bringing their characters to life on screen and, while Marvel are continuing to interlink their television shows with their movies, DC has decided to go for two different universes. While bringing their characters together on the big screen, they are also bringing their characters together on the small screen and not linking the two universes together.

Stephen Amell stars in Arrow
So far on the small screen, The CW has given us Arrow and The Flash, with the two shows enjoying crossover episodes together and it now looks like we will have a new character thrown into the mix. We have known that we are getting a Supergirl television series for quite a while now but it was uncertain whether we would see it crossover with Arrow and The Flash, as it is being shown on CBS
However, Greg Berlanti, who brought us Arrow and The Flash for The CW, is also bringing Supergirl to CBS and it has been claimed that he had it written into his contract that the character would be able to crossover with Arrow and The Flash, much to the delight of fans around the world. With CBS and Time Warner each owning 50% of The CW, it is no surprise that this would be allowed to happen and we cannot wait to see it.

Grant Gustin is The Flash
With Supergirl being brought to the small screen, there have been calls for Superman to have a cameo appearance in the show and, with DC and Warner Bros. keeping their big screen and small screen projects separate, it could mean casting a new actor in the role. We will just have to wait and see.
