Tom Hardy is about to become a 'known' acting commodity with American fans in 2015. Fans have likely heard rave reviews from his performance as the lead character in the movie "Mad Max: Fury Road" but that is not the acting performance that has fellow actors such as Brad Pitt referring to his acting as "master class" (The Hollywood Reporter - January 10, 2015).
The talented English actor is being discussed as an Oscar contender for his performance in the movie "Locke" in which he keeps fans riveted on him despite the film taking place in its entirety in a BMW. His voice is mesmerizing as one can feel the conflicted emotions running through his body and mind as he talks on his hands-free phone to his family members and attempts to explain why he cannot be home for a special event.
One writer notes how he cannot imagine many actors who "stripped of their ability to physically interact with others" could make such a compelling character but Tom Hardy has accomplished this incredibly difficult feat. Critics have been predicting that while he is nominated for a Golden Globe award they feel it is unlikely he will win but that does not discount the impressiveness of his acting performance.
Superb actors never feel like they are acting. When viewers watch them on screen they can almost imagine themselves in a similar position and his ability to convey the conflict that he is dealing with in balancing his pride and his conscience while driving is utterly amazing and fascinating.
Brad Pitt has developed a very good reputation for identifying talented actors and while there is no mention of these two actors working together it seems that there is a potential for this to occur in the near future because Tom Hardy has proven himself with his performance in "Locke" to be one of the most talented actors to hit the Hollywood landscape and is primed to become a known commodity in 2015 and beyond.
