When a big movie project is getting ever closer to beginning shooting, the casting rumours begin to take over and, while we have not heard a great deal of casting rumours about the new Marvel movie Doctor Strange, it looks like there is now a very interesting one. According to the reports, Rachel McAdams has been offered the female lead role in Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange is being made
With so many acting stars dying to land a role in a comic book movie, we would be very surprised if Rachel McAdams was to turn down the role, especially one so big, if the rumours are actually true. Rachel will take on the female lead alongside British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who is taking on the titular role of Stephen Strange aka Doctor Strange.
While the rumour has claimed that Rachel McAdams has been offered the role of the female lead, it has not mentioned exactly which character she will play, which has led to people giving their own suggestions. Many have claimed that, if Rachel will play the love interest in Doctor Strange, then she will take on the role of either Clea or Morganna Blessing.

Rachel McAdams is joining the cast
As well as starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, the new Marvel movie will also feature Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, and Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One. Doctor Strange will be directed by Scott Derrickson, with shooting set to get underway this Fall and a release date scheduled for October 28, 2016 in the UK and November 4, 2016 in the US.
Do you think Rachel McAdams will be a good addition to the cast?
