The recent actions of Prachi Desai is causing much discussion among filmmakers and actors in Bollywood. The beautiful Neutrogena endorser during filming of the movie "Ek Villain" was advised by medical professionals to get a tooth extracted as soon as possible. However, she decided to postpone the procedure which would have immediately alleviated her pain and instead continued to rehearse for her item track of "Awari" in the movie.

Not only did she delay her surgery but because some of the moves required for the dance performance of the item number required her to fall to her knees and slide backwards she also suffered some injuries to her feet and her knees.
Prachi Desai had every reason and excuse to stop the filming of her part in the movie and go get surgery on her mouth and seek some medical attention for the pains she was suffering in her feet and knees but she did the exact opposite. She showed her true professionalism by not complaining and continuing to perform in all the rehearsals and was unwilling to leave until all the song rehearsals, look test and the actual shoot was completed.

In addition to her not leaving the film production until her part had been completed she also shocked many within the Bollywood film industry by her decision to forego payment for her work. She reportedly was so excited for the opportunity to perform the item track that she did not ask about the lyrics or type of song she would be performing and she sang for free.
Prachi Desai showed professionalism and exceptional pain tolerance in completing the item number despite needing dental surgery. Entertainment insiders predict that her 'toughness' will pay dividends throughout her career as filmmakers will remember her commitment to this film and how she performed while suffering through a painful medical situation.
