British rapper Plan B, aka Ben Drew, has revealed how he would never risk his integrity, just to crack the American music market. While many British acts are currently over in the US, such as One Direction, Ed Sheeran and Adele, trying to make a name for themselves, Plan B says that he has no intention of heading over there any time soon.
Plan B was being interviewed by EntertainmentWise, when he explained, "I think obviously it's the biggest market and if you think about music that does well over there and how that influences every other country in the world."
He added, "As a musician I want to reach out to as many people as possible and I'm not going to sit here and say I don't want to break America but I'm not going to put my integrity at risk [in order to break America]. I'm not going to start making music I don't want to make, or water down my music so it can work on radio over there. I'm just not going to do that."
It was recently claimed that Plan B was going to be taking a break from music, as he tries to find the inspiration to write another quality album. With the heights of his fame kicking in, Plan B says that he needs to get back to his routes in order to find that raw material which makes him the artist that he is today.
