While there has been a huge amount of talk about the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie and how it will lead into the Justice League films, there are many fans who are more concerned about the Justice League Dark film and the progress that Guillermo Del Toro is making on the project. Well, from the sounds of things, the progress is going well, as Guillermo and co. are ramping up their search for the perfect cast for the film.
Recent reports have claimed that Guillermo Del Toro wants to cast Ron Perlman in the role of Swamp Thing, which is an idea that has gone down well with the studio. Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Irish actor Colin Farrell is in line to play John Constantine, with Ewan McGregor missing out on that role, but likely to land the role of Jason Blood aka Etrigan the Demon instead.
As well as that, there have also been reports claiming that Guillermo Del Toro and co. see actress Monica Bellucci as the perfect choice to play Madame Xanadu, which we think would be great. Finally, the movie is also going to need an actor to play the villain of the piece Anton Arcane, with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor Ben Mendelsohn being eyed for the role.
While nothing official has been confirmed yet, it is nice to see that progress is being made with the Justice League Dark movie, which is being tentatively titled Dark Universe. There is no official release date for the project yet, but we will keep you up to date with any progress the project makes.
