Over the years Hollywood actress Megan Fox has developed a bit of a reputation of being the eye candy in movies, flashing the flesh when called upon and using her sex appeal to help draw in viewers. However, Megan has stated in the past that she wants people to start talking about her for her acting ability rather than her body, and it looks like she might just have got her wish.
Megan Fox plays April O'Neil
Megan Fox will appear on the big screen later in the year, playing the role of April O'Neil in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and, while some people have expressed their concerns about her over-sexualising the role, it seems that it is the complete opposite. Megan has revealed how director Jonathan Liebesman did not want to go down that route, so we will not see Megan Fox flashing any flesh in the movie.
During a recent chat with the guys over at Entertainment Weekly, Fox explained, "I’m completely clothed for the entire movie. There’s no gratuitous skin or sexual anything. Jonathan was really insistent on not wanting her to be sexualized or to take that sort of typical role we’ve seen women take in movies thus far, and that I’ve taken in particular."
Filming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
While Megan Fox will star as April O'Neil in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film and Jonathan Liebesman is on board as director, the movie will also see Michael Bay in the role of producer. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will open on August 8 in the US, before then going on to hit the big screen in the UK on October 17.
