Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova has become the new brand ambassador for Porsche. Maria is currently one of the best female tennis players around and has endorsed some huge brands in her time. Now she will be able to add Porsche to that impressive list.
Sharapova admitted that she was delighted to become associated with Porsche, admitting that they are among the biggest brands that she has ever endorsed, "I have had the privilege to be associated with some of the best brands in the world, but now to be partners with Porsche, is such an amazing honor," she explained.
Matthias Mueller, the chief executive Porsche AG, stated that they were delighted to have Maria on board, "Maria Sharapova is an exceptional athlete. She combines top performance in her sports with elegance and power. These are precisely the qualities that are embroiled in our sports cars."
Maria Sharapova has won all four Grand Slams in her tennis career, winning Wimbledon in 2004, the U.S. Open in 2006, the Australian Open in 2008, and the French Open in 2012. Maria Sharapova is currently ranked at number two in the world, just behind Serena Williams.
