Lucas Till and Jane Levy are both up-and-coming actors with a lot of experience behind them, plus they're very talented and charming. Could this combination of talent, charm, and looks lead to them being cast as the leads in the next Transformers-like franchise?

According to reports, both Till and Levy are officially being eyed for the lead roles in 'Monster Trucks', which Paramount is hoping will launch another franchise for them. The studio hasn't officially announced the movie, although they're planning for the movie's release in May of 2015. Although the failure of Battleship stalled studios in thinking that toys and boardgames-led movies might not really be the best idea, the success of the Lego Movie seems to have undone that thinking.
The movie is actually being described as a cross between Goonies and Transformers, and the budget is supposedly rumored around the $100 million range, much the same as the first Transformers. The only difference is that audiences have had nearly a decade to get used to big action-packed CGI-heavy movies, so will Monster Trucks really be that fresh anymore?

Either way, it should provide a strong launchpad for Lucas Till and Jane Levy, both of whom have been flirting with stardom for a while. Levy is best known for Suburgatory and Evil Dead, and she's been circling a number of high-profile lead roles since Evil Dead's success. Till, on the other hand, is best known for X-Men: First Class, and he'll next be seen in the sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past as well as several other films.
