While it is fair to say that Marvel have been leading the way on the comic book movie scene for quite a few years now, it is also fair to point out that DC have been dominating proceedings on the small screen, with a number of hit television shows over the years. Well, it does not look like DC are going to slow down any time soon either, with plenty more new television projects coming our way.
One of the new DC television series set to hit the small screen this year, is the upcoming Supergirl series, which will air on CBS and already has a lot of comic book fans very excited. We already got to see a very impressive Supergirl in the past, with Laura Vandervoort playing the character in the hit The CW series Smallville, while this time around the role will be take on by Melissa Benoist.
However, the Laura Vandervoort fans among you will be delighted to hear that we still might get to see the actress in the new Supergirl series, playing a small cameo role on the show. Laura was at Comic-Con for her television series Bitten, when talk turned to Supergirl, with the actress admitting that things are looking good for her to make an appearance at some point in the series.
Anyway, fans of the Supergirl character will get to see Melissa Benoist in the role, when Supergirl premieres on CBS on Monday, October 26 at 8:30/7:30c. As for Laura Vandervoort, she will return for Bitten season three, which is expected to premiere on Syfy in 2016.
