Marvel have been getting a lot of things right when it comes to their television shows and movies but there have been a few hiccups along the way, which is obviously to be expected when it comes to such a hardcore fanbase. For quite a while now, the comic book fans have been calling for Marvel to gives us an Inhumans project and they have finally delivered, with the upcoming new ABC series.
Fans were very excited to hear that we were finally going to get an Inhumans television series and there was a lot of optimism for the project, but unfortunately that did not last too long. As soon as the first Inhumans trailer dropped, the fans came out in force to heavily criticise what they were seeing and the criticism has not stopped since.
Now though, actor Ken Leung, who takes on the role of Karnak in the Inhumans TV series, has spoken out to defend the project, explaining, "We are kind of just loosely based on the comics."
He then went on to add, "The source of some of the mixed reactions to the little that people have seen so far [is] that a lot of people love the comics, they have been around for decades and it remains to be seen how people will accept something that is its own iteration of something that’s already beloved."
We have to admit that we have not been too pleased with what we have seen from Inhumans so far but we are going to give it the benefit of the doubt and actually give it a watch before we make our final judgement on the project.
