The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, in the whole entire world, with the game being shown in countries all around the globe, so it is no surprise that they always try to get the best possible half time entertainment that they possibly can. However, there was a rumour that emerged last year, which claimed that whoever was to perform at the 2015 Super Bowl, would have to pay a percentage of their touring income to NFL executives.

Katy Perry doing her thing
So, when it was announced that Katy Perry was going to perform at the half time interval of the Super Bowl 2015, fans were quick to assume that she has paid up a fair amount of money for the privilege, which has not sat too well with Katy. The singer has now hit back at these claims, insisting that she has not had to pay any money to perform at the event and was even happy for people to see her official contract with the organisers.
Perry was talking to the Associated Press about the rumoured payment, when she stated, "I put my foot down very early in the courtship... I said, 'Look guys, here's where I draw a line in the sand.' I want to be invited on my own merits and not with some fine print. I stuck to my position. I don't even care if my contract leaks... I have nothing to hide, basically."
