There are so many women in the entertainment industry these days, who clearly have a huge fear of getting older, so decide to resort to drastic measures and take on some cosmetic help in a bid to keep themselves looking younger. There are some things which do actually work and do help women to look youthful but there are far too many who take it too far and end up looking ridiculous.
Fortunately though, not all women in the business are worried about the aging process, with some actually embracing it and growing older gracefully. Hollywood actress Julianne Moore is still one of the most beautiful women in the world and she still looks stunning at the age of 56, and Julianne has admitted that she loves the fact that we all have to get old at some point.
Moore was speaking in the October issue of InStyle magazine, when she said, "I mean, let's not talk about this idea of, 'Oh no! I'm going to be 40!' You could be dead. So enjoy it. It's a privilege to age! Even in scripts, they'll refer to a character as 'ageing.' Well ... everyone is ageing. In literature and in movies, when people try to stop the process, it always ends in disaster. I think it's really important to be where you are."
She added, "The older I get, I find, the more I prepare. I thought when I was younger that I was prepared. But [laughs] it pales in comparison to the amount I do now. Maybe being young, you think, 'Well, I know how to do this!' and the older you get, the more you realise that you don't know anything."
Well if we all looked as good as you do at 56, Julianne, then we are sure we would all enjoy growing old gracefully.
