Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could be set to leave Real Madrid and join Manchester United, although it will not happen for a while. There have been rumours that Mourinho is ready to quit Real Madrid already but he has denied that there is any truth in them.
However, Jose has always had a love for the English Premier League and he would find the offer of becoming Manchester United boss to difficult to turn down. Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to retire in the next few years and he has tipped Mourinho as an ideal replacement.
While talking to The Sun, Ferguson said, “He can manage anywhere, absolutely. I’m not going to put any forecasts on what is going to happen at this club. I won’t last forever but Jose can manage anywhere.”
Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho have developed a mutual respect for each other over the years and have faced each other on a number of occasions. It is believed that Jose Mourinho replacing Sir Alex Ferguson would go down well with the Manchester United fans, as he is a proven manager at the top level.
