There has been a lot of talk about the progress being made by Warner Bros. and DC, as they attempt to close the gap to Marvel, who have seriously been owning the comic book movie scene for the past few years. One of the DC movies that many fans are really looking forward to, is the upcoming Suicide Squad film, which will hit the big screen next year.
Despite a couple of small hiccups, such as Tom Hardy pulling out of the role as Rick Flagg, the Suicide Squad movie is coming along nicely and a very impressive cast is coming together. It has now been reported that former True Blood actor Joe Manganiello has signed on to join the cast of the Suicide Squad film and that he will be playing a very popular DC character.
Many people have been impressed with the performances of Manu Bennett in the role of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke in the hit The CW television Arrow and now it looks like we are set to get a big screen version of the character. According to the reports, Joe will play the role of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke in the Suicide Squad movie and we have high hopes for his performance.
As well as seeing Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, the Suicide Squad movie will also see Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg. Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and is set to hit the big screen on August 5, 2016.
Do you think Joe Manganiello will make a good Rick Flagg?
