Joe Manganiello in a recent interview with Haute Living revealed that he is flattered when people look at him on-screen and think of him as a 'meathead' because of his role as a male stripper in "Magic Mike XXL" and a werewolf on "True Blood" because he knows that these characters are the furthest thing from who he actually is.

He looks at him being able to play a 'meathead' character and being able to get fans to believe that is who he is as a testament to good acting. He understands how difficult it is to play dumb which is part of the reason he is such a huge fan of Robert DeNiro's portrayal of Jake LaMotta and Travis Bickle in "Raging Bull" and "Taxi Driver" (LA Times - July 1).
For fans he is unique as many on social media expressed amazement at learning that this six-foot, five-inch muscular hunk is not someone who has a motorcycle or works on vintage cars nor does he drink alcohol. Moreover most American fans would think that this intelligent hunk who attended the prestigious acting school at Carnegie Mellon University would like have been the star of his prom but in reality he skipped it to watch the "Blade Runner".

He is an actor who cannot be judged by his appearance because while he may look like a hunk who is not the 'deepest thinker' he is actually a deep thinker who prefers comedy to love scenes.
Joe Manganiello is an actor who is proof that people should not judge a 'book by the cover' and has some fans anticipating that he will be providing more 'surprises' in terms of his film projects and roles in the near future for his fans.
