While we love seeing new movies hit the big screen on a regular basis, we have to admit that we also love the film festivals that take place every year, featuring some of the most exciting movies that will come our way in the near future. There are plenty of different film festivals to get excited about throughout the year but, one of the biggest and the best would have to be the Cannes Film Festival.
There are a number of movies to excited about for the 2015 Cannes Film Festival but one of the ones that we are really looking forward to seeing, is the new Jessica Biel movie The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, which will debut at Cannes. The 12 day film festival takes place from May 13 until May 24, with The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea being introduced to international distributors for the first time.
We actually do not know what to expect from The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, with the film simply being described as a romantic drama, with very little in way of the plot details for the film. What we do know is that the movie will centre on an introverted architect named Henry, who loses his wife when she dies in a car crash. Henry and his friend then decide to help a homeless teenage girl to sail to a far away land.
As well as starring Jessica Biel, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea will also feature Orlando Jones, Maisie Williams, Jason Sudeikis, Bryan Batt, Mary Steenburgen, and Paul Reiser. Bill Purple has directed The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, from a script that he helped to develop along with Robbie Pickering. We cannot wait to see what this film has to offer on the big screen.
