Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin, along with Liam Hemsworth and director Francis Lawrence, were present at the Cannes Film festival to promote 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'.
Sam Claflin, when discussing his introduction to the franchise [he plays Finnick Odair, who is a new addition to the cast], says, "Obviously, from the beginning there's a huge pressure on my shoulders. A lot to contend with. But you know, the actual family group that we have, the Hunger Games family, was so inviting and so welcoming that I found myself settled." He adds that director Francis Lawrence manages to give a 'fresh, new take' on Catching Fire that won't disappoint fans of the series, but manage to make it different from the first film.
Jennifer Lawrence also pitches in her thoughts on Catching Fire and says, "Visually, kind of huge and stunning, and we dive a little deeper into the Capitol and we're back in Katniss's life as she's trying to piece her life back together after the Games, and the stakes are a lot higher [in this one]."
'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' releases on November 22nd, 2013 and in addition to Sam Claflin, Jennifer Lawrence, and Liam Hemsworth, also stars Jena Malone, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Lenny Kravitz.
