There are some actors who can go their whole careers without ever really landing that defining role which will keep them forever in the memories of movie fans around the world, for the rest of eternity. When it comes to comic book movies, just playing a superhero on the big screen is a big enough role but there is one actor who has taken it to the next level and will forever be remember for his role.
Australian actor Hugh Jackman has given us some very impressive performances on the big screen over the years but it is fair to say that his biggest, best and most memorable role is that of Logan aka Wolverine in the X-Men movies. It has been an incredible 16 years since we first saw Hugh make his debut as Wolverine in the X-Men movie and he is now preparing to say farewell to the character for good.
While it is expected that we will get to see Hugh Jackman making another cameo appearance as Wolverine in the new movie X-Men: Apocalypse next year, he will then make his final outing as the character in the currently untitled Wolverine 3 film. There have been a lot of different rumours about what we could get from the final movie, with man suggesting it will be based on Old Man Logan.
With Hugh Jackman preparing to say farewell to Wolverine for good, it will be interesting to see what then happens with the character. Will they shelve any future plans for Wolverine, or will the decide to cast a new actor in the role? We guess we will just have to wait and see.
Wolverine 3 will again be directed by James Mangold, with a scheduled release date of March 3, 2017.
