Believe it or not, there are many different types of actors in Hollywood these days, with many different styles and techniques, taking different approaches to how they prepare for a role and how they conduct themselves throughout production. Some stars simply come to work to do a job and then leave it all at the door when they leave, while there are others who like to become their character and not break from it at all.
When it comes to method acting, there are not many who are on the same level as the hugely talented Hollywood legend Daniel Day-Lewis, who has given us some absolutely fantastic performances throughout his long and successful career. Next up for Daniel is a role in the new, upcoming movie Phantom Thread and we have no doubt that we are going to get another masterclass in acting from the superstar.
As always, there are many of you who will be interested to know what to expect from this new film, with Phantom Thread being officially described as, "Set in 1950's London, Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman, Alma, who becomes his muse and lover."
While Daniel Day-Lewis is no doubt the big draw of the new movie, the rest of the cast in Phantom Thread includes such top names as Camilla Rutherford, Vicky Krieps, and Lesley Manville, to name just a few. Phantom Thread has been written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, with the movie set to hit the big screen on December 25 in the US, before then opening on February 2, 2018 in the UK.
