Following the huge global success of the hit novel Fifty Shades of Grey, it was no surprise that plans were put into action to adapt the novel for the big screen, with a Fifty Shades of Grey movie. From the moment the film was confirmed, fans around the world were quick to give their opinions on which stars should play their favourite characters from the book.
British actor Henry Cavill was a fans favourite to play the role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie but he missed out on the role to Charlie Hunnam, who then pulled out of the project and was replaced by Jamie Dornan. While the fans were disappointed at Henry Cavill missing out on the role, it now looks like they will get to see him in the sequel Fifty Shades Darker.
It was recently suggested that Henry Cavill would join the cast for Fifty Shades Darker, where he would take on the role of Jack Hyde, who is the boss of Anastasia Steele. When whether there was actually any truth in the rumours, Henry told E! News, "Basically what I can say is I can't say anything about it right now." Which has led to many suggesting that this must mean they are true.
Fifty Shades Darker will follow on from where Fifty Shades of Grey left off and we will see Jamie Dornan back as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson back as Anastasia Steele. Meanwhile, Sam Taylor-Johnson has stepped down as director, which means a new person will be brought in to helm the project. Fifty Shades Darker is aiming for a February 10, 2017 release date.
