The hit television series The X Factor has come in for a lot of criticism over the years but, love it or hate it, you cannot deny that the show has been a success and given us some music acts that have gone on to be very successful. One of the biggest and best acts to come from The X Factor would have to be the British boyband One Direction, who were put together on the show.
It was way back in 2010 that Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik were thrown together in an experiment which has gone on to be very successful indeed. With One Direction celebrating five years together, the boys have been tweeting their thanks, with Harry letting everyone know just how grateful he is for everything.
Styles took to his official Twitter account, to thank his fans and followers, by saying, "We have been a band for five years. And it is impossible to thank anyone enough for all the support they have given us over this time."
It continued, "All the crew that we have been so lucky to work with, and everyone who is behind the scenes. We thank you for everything that you do. To you who support us, in any way, thank you. We wouldn't be here without you. You did this and we thank you for having us. All the love."
One Direction have had a bit of a rough year in 2015 so far but, with a new album on the way and a tour to follow, the future still looks bright for the biggest boyband on the planet.
