What is going on in Hollywood these days? Where are all of the interesting and intriguing original movies that we enjoy discovering and learning about, before watching with excitement? While there are still a few original films still getting made, Hollywood has been taken over by remakes, reboots, prequels and sequels, not to mention comic book movies.
It is no surprise then that there is yet another movie sequel heading our way in the near future, as the Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters sequel is beginning to really come together nicely. Tommy Wirkola, who directed the first movie, has been working on the screenplay for the sequel, while it was recently revealed that Bruno Aveillan will direct the film, which will be his feature film debut.
While the Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters sequel is still in the script writing stages, we do already know a little bit about what to expect from the project, with the film being described as "After killing the dark evil witch, the brother and sister Hansel and Gretel think that they are safe. But what they don't know is, there is another dark force striking them soon."
Meanwhile, it has not yet been confirmed whether we will actually see Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner reprising their roles for the sequel, as they were only signed on to do one film and are both fairly busy at the moment. With that said, producer Adam McKay previously spoke about Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2, claiming that he believes that both will return for the sequel.
We look forward to seeing what happens with this project as it progresses.
