There have been a lot of reports over the past few days about the fact that British actress Emma Watson has seen her career take a bit of a hit, by starring in the big Box Office flop The Colony. According to these reports, The Colony only managed to make a very poor £47 at the UK Box Office, which has led many to suggest that this will have a negative impact on Emma's career.
However, we do not believe that this will be the case at all, as Emma Watson already has a pretty much guaranteed hit on her hands, with the eagerly anticipated live-action adaptation of the classic Disney tale Beauty and the Beast. Emma will appear in the role of Belle in the movie and there has been a lot of excitement surrounding the project already.
Following the huge box office success of other classic Disney movies, including the likes of Maleficent, which grossed $710m worldwide, Cinderella, which grossed $542m worldwide, and The Jungle Book, which grossed $358m worldwide, it is fair to assume that such a popular Disney tale as Beauty and the Beast is going to make a lot of money, bringing Emma Watson back to the top.
We have been big fans of Emma Watson ever since her days as Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, and we have no doubt that one bad movie is not going to be the end of her very promising acting career. We cannot wait to see what she has to offer as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, when the movie hits the big screen on March 17, 2017 in both the US and the UK.
