Actress Diane Kruger has been in the acting industry for many years now and has worked with some of the biggest and best names that Hollywood has to offer. One such superstar, who Diane worked with on the 2004 movie Troy, was the late, great Peter O'Toole, who was nominated for an impressive seven Academy Awards during his career.
Peter O'Toole died at the age of 81 in December 2013, and Diane Kruger has now opened up about her experience with the actor on Troy. However, rather than a pleasant and respectful memory of an acting great, Diane has admitted that working with Peter was awful, due to the size of his ego.
Kruger explained, "It kind of sucked. He’s dead, so I can say that. But he wasn’t the most pleasant person. He could barely make it up the stairs. We were on a set that was... you know, you have to climb, like, I don’t know, 100 steps to go up. He was just... first of all, everybody thought he was gonna die right there and then."
She added, "Because it was, you know, 120 degrees, and he had to walk up 100 stairs. And he was very old, and very drunk! He was just a drunk. You know, he had a two-day part, and I played Helen of Troy and he was Peter O’Toole, and he just wanted to make sure that everybody knew that he was Peter O’Toole."
Despite the fact that Diane Kruger has these bad memories of her time working with Peter O'Toole, the actor will forever be remembered as a Hollywood great, whose memory and movies will live of for generations.
