The UK version of the hit series The X Factor has been running for 10 years now and has uncovered some great talent over the years. One such star, who is now living her dream, is Diana Vickers and she has given her views on how she thinks the show could boost its ratings. Diana says that the show needs to go away for a while and then come back fresh to get people excited.
Vickers told EntertainmentWise, "When I was on it, it was really exciting, it was like the third series and really, really fresh and Cheryl was the new judge and everyone was really different whereas now it just gets a bit samey. I think people do get bored of the same thing over and over again."
She added, "If I was going to give it any advice, I'd just say go away for a few years and come back and do it again and people will get excited. Go out and really explore new talent and give people time to grow. I think when you're ramming the same thing down people's throats every year then maybe that's why people get sick of it."
It is not the first time that Diana Vickers has questioned The X Factor, after she recently claimed that the show has become more concerned with glitz and glamour than helping the talent to grow. Diana Vickers recently released her second album Music to Make Boys Cry.
