German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, 45, has launched a new warm and fuzzy knitwear collection that is influenced by styles and fashion from the 1970s. She teamed with TSE to create a 17-piece cashmere collection that features pants, dresses, pullover sweaters, draped ponchos, skirts, cardigans and sweater dresses that will keep people nice and warm.
Schiffer says her new collection is steeped in history and tradition and is inspired by English countryside that she now calls home. She took inspiration from the beautiful sunsets, pebble beaches, lush colors and scents of the English countryside. Plus, she says her collection was inspired by the Fair Isle sweaters worn by the local fisherman and shepherds. Tina Lutz, the creative director for TSE says that Claudia's designs fit naturally and perfectly with the company.
Claudia says that she was involved in every aspect of the creation of the collection that includes design and marketing. The new collection by Schiffer will include the neutral colors of TSE brand and will introduce new colors such as the shades of blue inspired by the seaside and shades of green that are inspired by the English countryside. Schiffer revealed that she has always loved cashmere and often wore it as a teenager. She remembers borrowing cashmere sweaters from her parents and says that she still wears one from her that still looks like new.
The glamorous supermodel has been a big fan of TSE for years and contacted them about her knitwear collection. She says the experience has been wonderful and that she enjoyed working with such a great company. Claudia Schiffer's knitwear collection is timeless and chic and is available and at tsecashmere.com. Prices start at $450. The soft as mink collection is comfortable to wear and is sure to be worn by many during the upcoming cold winter months.
