There has been a lot of talk about Hollywood heart-throb Channing Tatum playing the role of Gambit in the X-Men movies and, while we have become very excited about seeing it happen, there has been plenty of confusion about when it will actually take place. While there are a lot of fans who want to see Channing playing the character sooner rather than later, it is still not actually known when it will happen.

Channing Tatum will play Gambit
It was first expected that we would get to see Channing Tatum making his debut as Gambit in the new movie X-Men: Apocalypse, before it was then stated that this would not be the case and that we would actually first see him in the Gambit standalone film. However, it now seems that we will actually get to see Gambit making an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse after all.
The latest rumour comes after director Bryan Singer took to his official Instagram account to post a picture of himself with Channing Tatum. Along with the snap, Bryan added the caption "Always wanted to work with this guy! ;) #XMen #Gambit" which has definitely got fans excited about the prospect of seeing Channing Tatum as Gambit in X-Men: Apocalypse.

It will be interesting to see what does actually happen but we would be surprised if we did not get to see Channing Tatum making a brief appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is set to hit the big screen on May 19, 2016 in the UK and May 27, 2016 in the US. As for the Gambit solo movie, that is set to open on October 7, 2016 in both the US and the UK.
