There have been plenty of rumours about who will be appearing in the Star Wars: Episode VII movie, ever since Disney confirmed that the film was being made. The main question that most fans wanted answered, was whether the original trio of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher would be returning.
Carrie Fisher said back in November that she would be reprising her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode VII, before them claiming that she made the comments tongue in cheek. However, this time, it appears that Carrie is being honest and will definitely return to the franchise.
Fisher was chatting to Palm Beach Illustrated (via CBM), when they asked her, "Disney is going to continue the Star Wars saga, producing movies set to hit theaters starting in 2015. Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?" To which she simply responded, "Yes."
As well as Carrie Fisher confirming her involvement in Star Wars: Episode VII, Harrison Ford has also confirmed that he has signed on to return. This news adds further weight to claims that Star Wars: Episode VII will centre around the children of the original characters.
It will be interesting to see how big a role Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill have in Star Wars: Episode VII.
