We have seen plenty of novels being adapted for the big screen over the years and we have plenty more coming up over the course of the coming years. One of the big screen adaptations that we are most looking forward to seeing is the upcoming David Fincher film Gone Girl. The film stars Ben Affleck and features Rosamund Pike and the first Gone Girl trailer has now been released.

Gone Girl is officially described as "On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne reports that his beautiful wife, Amy, has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?"
As well as starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, the impressive cast of the Gone Girl movie also includes Emily Ratajkowski, Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle and Tyler Perry, to name just a few of them. Gone Girl is directed by David Fincher, based on the screenplay developed by Gillian Flynn from her hit novel of the same name.

Gone Girl will hit the big screen on October 3 in both the US and the UK.
