Things have not been going too great in the US at the moment, especially with all the killing that has been taking place recently but, worse than all of that, is the fact that the country has to choose a new President and does not exactly have a solid candidate to choose from. Donald Trump has found himself in with a real chance of becoming the next American President, which many people are not too happy about.
While there is no denying that Donald Trump has found himself with a lot of supporters, there have been plenty of celebrities coming out to criticise him, including Alicia Keys. During a recent interview, Alicia admitted that she is not a fan of The Donald and will do everything she possibly can to stop him getting into the White House.
Keys explained, "I refused to believe that that is going to happen. I refuse to energy towards that and I’m going to do everything I possibly can to make sure that doesn’t happen. That’s how I feel. We can make sure that we show up the way we’re supposed to show up and exercise our rights for who we help elect."
She added, "It happens because we show up or we don’t show up. We can all do that. We can all say let’s be motivated or let’s be active, let’s make sure someone hears us for the future of our country. There’s one or there’s another. It’s pretty incredible that we have the potential to have our first female President [Hilary Clinton], too, so we’ve to keep it going forward not backward."
